Editorial
This type of contribution reflects the publication's stance and aims to influence reader thinking, generate debate, or highlight an important issue. Editorials should be persuasive and well-supported texts. They address current events, topics, or novel research in medicine and the health sciences. They are written by the Editor, members of the Editorial Board, or contributors invited by the Journal.
Original articles
These are research articles of a clinical, laboratory, or biological nature. The journal aims to publish original research that enriches knowledge in the fields of health in general, human well-being, and public health; it seeks to promote relevant findings that support universal health. This approach not only contributes to the generation of knowledge but also facilitates the implementation of effective policies that address the health needs of diverse populations. Original research is accepted in any of the journal's 11 thematic areas.
Case Studies
This is a report of one or more relevant clinical cases from a specific specialty. It is characterized by documenting practical experiences that illustrate the application of theories and policies in real-world situations. It describes new, rare, or difficult-to-diagnose and treat pathologies. This section provides a valuable framework for learning and continuous improvement in the field by showing how effective interventions are implemented and how specific pathologies and challenges are addressed. Clinical cases not only enrich the content by offering concrete examples but also allow professionals to reflect on best practices and adapt strategies to their local contexts. Analyzing these cases facilitates the identification of successful approaches and promotes collaborative learning between researchers and clinicians. These specific case reports correspond to Clinical Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, or Mental Health.
Literature Reviews
These reviews provide an overview of a topic of general interest in the health sciences, offering a comprehensive analysis and updated review of recent literature. Their purpose is to synthesize and evaluate the available and current evidence on a health topic, incorporating the author's contribution and a discussion of the reviewed topic.
Essays
Reflective, analytical, and argumentative documents on a specific and relevant topic within the health sciences, bioethics, medical education, technology, or public health policy. Unlike literature reviews, essays do not aim for exhaustive compilation of literature, but rather propose a critical, novel perspective or a well-founded debate by the author(s) on current or emerging problems or dilemmas. They must be supported by solid scientific evidence and present a clear narrative thread that guides the reader from the introduction of the problem to the proposed conclusions.
Praxys in Action

This ensures that interventions are not only theoretically sound but also applicable and relevant in real-world settings. Collaboration between researchers and clinicians becomes a cornerstone for developing innovative practices that respond to the evolving needs of populations.
Epidemiological Action

It is fundamental to ensuring that all protocols meet the necessary ethical and scientific standards for public health research. By providing a rigorous analysis of methods, it ensures that research is not only valid but also ethically responsible. This includes the assessment of risks and benefits, as well as respect for the rights of participants, in line with established principles such as those of the Declaration of Helsinki. Furthermore, this section promotes transparency and replicability in research, which is essential for building trust in scientific findings. By offering a clear framework for the design and execution of studies, "Health Research Today" contributes to improving the quality of healthcare and optimizing public health policies, as well as advancing the field of bioethics, ethics, and research.
