CODE OF ETHICS POLICY
The e-Journal Praxis de la Medicina (e-Rev. P. Med.), affiliated with the Center for Research in Health and Environmental Technologies (CITSA), is committed to the highest standards of editorial ethics in the production, evaluation, and dissemination of scientific knowledge.

Objective
To guarantee integrity, transparency, responsibility, and rigor in editorial processes, respecting universal ethical principles in the field of medical practice and related disciplines.

Guiding Principles
• Scientific Integrity: Truthfulness, originality, and quality in all published content.

• Editorial Transparency: Clear processes for submission, evaluation, and publication.

• Ethical Peer Review: Objective evaluations under double-blind peer review.

• Confidentiality and Privacy: Protection of identity and personal data throughout the editorial cycle.

• Open and Equitable Access: Free dissemination of knowledge without discrimination or economic restrictions. • Respect for human rights: Special attention to research involving human beings and vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities of Editorial Team Members
Authors
• Ensure the originality of the manuscript and avoid plagiarism or duplication.

• Declare conflicts of interest, funding sources, and use of AI.

• Assume full responsibility for the submitted content.

• Cite sources correctly and respect intellectual property rights.
Reviewers
• Provide rigorous, critical, and constructive evaluations, without delegating to AI.

• Declare conflicts of interest and maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript.

• Contribute to improving the scientific quality of the article.
Editorial Committee
• Ensure impartiality in the selection and review of submissions.

• Promote ethical editorial practices, including corrections, retractions, and reporting when appropriate.

• Implement clear policies on the ethical use of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence.

• Actively participate in strengthening the ethical culture within the scientific community. Adherence to COPE
This commitment translates into the formal adoption of the following Code of Ethics, based on the guidelines of international organizations such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Therefore, the journal Praxis de la Medicina explicitly declares its adherence to these guidelines, committing to:
• Apply the Code of Conduct for Editors and the Guidelines for Reviewers.

• Act diligently in cases of scientific misconduct (plagiarism, data fabrication, misauthorship, undeclared use of AI).

• Maintain active and proactive ethical oversight in all editorial processes.

• Adopt COPE's flowcharts for conflict resolution and irregularity management.

This declaration and this Code of Ethics are an integral part of our editorial policy and are publicly available as a guarantee of transparency and institutional commitment.
